For over seventy-five years the 2nd Avenue Pier, located at 2nd Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard, has been an iconic part of Myrtle Beach. Accessible from the new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and owned by the Lucas and Collins families, it has withstood the test of time. Having survived hurricanes to be rebuilt twice and recently renovated, it will continue to provide a place to swap fish stories, grant beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean for generations to come.
Stroll along the pier, taking in the sites, cast a line or sit and enjoy drinks at the open air bar. The fresh, salty sea air giving you an appetite? Remember to put your shirt and shoes back on and enjoy delicious freshly prepared meals at Pier House Restaurant. There is nothing like a day on the pier with friends and family.
A pleasant note – you do not have to have an ACS Fishing License on the pier. You are required to purchase a daily fishing pass. It is highly recommended that if you need to rent your rod at the pier that you grab a Rod Rental Package that includes your rod, daily pass and one tray of bait.
During the peak of the summer season enjoy magnificent fireworks displays every Wednesday night beginning around 9:30 pm. The pier will close at 7:00 pm on these nights for the protection of the guests. You will be able to enjoy them from the beach and the boardwalk.
