North of Myrtle Beach there is a twenty-seven acre lake spanned by bridges and boardwalks that connect shops, restaurants and live entertainment venues. Gentle breezes blow across the lake as guests enjoy the wide variety of things to do. Barefoot Landing is centrally located near hotels, resorts, waterfront condominiums, golf courses and of course just a mile from the beach.
Guests can traverse the boardwalk as they visit the House of Blues for some southern comfort foods and live entertainment. They can learn and have a photo session at T. I. G. E. R. S. Preservation station while learning about native and exotic animals. Walk through Mirrormaze viewing 2000 square feet of mirrors. Attend pirate school or enjoy ghost stories performed by the ghosts themselves.
No matter what a guest has a taste for they will find it some where in the complex. There are fifteen restaurants that range from casual Americana to elegant fine dining. Guests can choose from hamburgers to pizza or steaks to seafood with the option for dining indoors or out on the deck with a view of the lakefront.
During the summer there is a festive atmosphere throughout Barefoot Landing as Summer Fest begins June 1st. Mondays kick it off with fabulous fireworks displays that will leave you breathless, beginning at 10:15 pm. Wednesday nights there is a boardwalk parade that beings at 7 pm in the Alabama Theatre parking lot. The parade includes a band, mascots, clowns, live animals, stilt walkers and more. Barefoot Landing resembles a season long street festival throughout the summer
