The feature appeared in the latest Fall 2013 edition, letting RCI members know that the Grand Strand has a lot to offer vacation-goers and gave a wrap-up of “what’s fresh in this long-beloved destination.”
Travel writer Melissa Bigner pointed up the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, the SkyWheel, Family Kingdom, Pirate Adventures and Carolina Comedy Club as key places to “play hard.”
She highly endorsed teeing up at Dunes Golf & Beach Club, shopping at City Mac and Kangaroo Pouch, eating crab cakes at Harrelson’s Seafood Market and “hunting down” Mr. Fish for seafood, “geeking out” at WonderWorks and Encounters: U.F.O. Experience and treating yourself to the dining experience at 21 Main at North Beach.
Of course, the beautiful beaches and sunsets will always be the main attractions, but Bigner gives plenty of reasons why Myrtle Beach “welcomes almost 14 million visitors annually.”
