Currently, almost every hotel or motel in Myrtle Beach is offering special incentives to lure potential guests to its front desk to check-in. Internet, magazine, email and television ads promote the deals with “must-have” urgency. Deals that offer free nights or free tickets to area attractions or free meals at local restaurants. Whatever the deal, make sure you are aware of what’s required to get the deal before give your 16-digits. Call the hotel and speak with a reservationist. Ask all the questions you may have in mind. Remember, the only dumb question is one that’s not asked.
Be clear on what you expect to recieve. For example, is you free night awarded for a future stay or can it be added to a current reservation? Ask, if your free breakfast is for everyone in your party or just for two adults? And, don’t forget to ask what age qualifies as a kid? Does kids eat free go for all seven of your kids? How many tickets come with a booking? And, while your sister is not staying at your hotel, can your awfully cute neice get in on some of the freebies, too?
Though some answers may seem obvious, it’s best to be certain. No hotel official should mind being as helpful as possible when explaining the hotel’s special offers. It’s just good business to make sure everyone is on the same page. A great vacation should be the goal of the guest and the hotel. And, a great vacation starts with a well-informed guest … go ahead, ask ’em.
